Who is responsible
From Tired to Retired is run by Rob Townsend, trading as From Tired to Retired, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can get in touch at hello@from-tired-to-retired.co.uk.
The weekly email
If you subscribe, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to send you the weekly From Tired to Retired email and occasional news about the book. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and confirming by email.
Our emails are sent using Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which stores subscriber details on our behalf in the United States. Kit records whether an email is opened or a link clicked, which helps us see which stories people find useful.
We never sell or share your email address with anyone else. You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email, and your details stay only as long as you remain subscribed or ask us to remove them.
This website
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and this site sets no cookies of its own.
- Pages with the sign-up box load a small script from Kit to send your sign-up securely. Kit may run a spam check and store a small identifier in your browser once you subscribe. See Kit's privacy policy.
- If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser's storage. It never leaves your device.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, and page styling and scripts from jsDelivr. As with any website, those services receive your IP address so they can deliver the files.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@from-tired-to-retired.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
